DCMS Band Instrument Selection Night

Doe Creek Middle School will be hosting two band instrument selection nights for all current 6th grade students that have chosen BAND as their music option next year.  With the help of a teacher, students will have the opportunity to test every instruction option to determine which instrument is the best choice for them.  Parents will also have an opportunity to speak with DCMS band director Brooke Basso about middle school band and how to obtain an instrument.

These will be held on Thursday, April 27 and Monday, May 1 from 4:30-7:00 pm in the DCMS Cafeteria.  You may choose either night to attend and come whenever you are available.  Note:  Due to the need to balance how many students choose a certain instrument, there is a limitation on how many spots will be permitted for each.  Once that cap has been reached, students may have to pick their second choice.  Please plan accordingly.

If you are unable to attend one of these two nights, the band director will visit your child’s school to take them through this selection process, although instrument choice options may be limited due to full selections.
